Building SuperHeroes! Another 50 Weeks of Focus...

At 619 Muscle, our mission is the never-ending quest to achieve our own, personal version of Perfection - building our Temple, to the utmost manifestation the potential that the good Lord has gifted us with...

It's been a tremendous year for me, I had the fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Pro-Creator, Hany Rambod, as I dialed in my own version of perfect-me, for the 2010 USA's.

And now, as the smoke has cleared somewhat from the chaos of contest prep, Meriza's own journey to the stage twice this year, and our awesome 619 Muscle Bash IV, I've got just a few minutes to catch my breath and re-focus and draw the map to begin to pick up steam again, with a clear mind, and a hungry heart.

We've entered this week into 49 weeks out from the USA's, 2011, but I've already started the countdown. This is the show I will target one more time...I've had a few heart-to-heart discussions with people whose opinion I trust, and the advice I've gotten consistently has fit solidly with what my own gut tells me...so last week, after a brief rest, I began again, focused, hungry, ready to tear it up once again...When Lonnie Teper announced that only a single point separated me from my own personal dream, and placed me in the runner-up spot to a deserving Al Auguste, I knew then that - with God's help - my journey would take me full circle, 52 weeks, once again back to the stage at the USA's...so, thus begins my journey...

Meriza is supportive, my clients and staff and family believe in me. And I know I will give more this year than ever before...one point, 50 weeks...and it's gonna go by fast! Check back frequently, as I update my blog, outlining my journey back to Vegas...it's gonna be a helluva ride!

Thanks to everyone in my life who has given their energy, support and love - allowing me to come so close to achieving a lifelong dream...1 point...Next year, with God's help, that single point will be mine.

Special thanks to Jon Lindsay and the NPC for giving us the stage upon which we can unleash our competitive spirits; To World gym, San Diego for the dungeon, within which I can cultivate my own personal version of physique perfection, laying the groundwork, stone by stone, for my own temple, and live out the day to day battles that add up to another year of progress; to my supportive clients and staff and our powerful 619 Muscle Family, who put up with my dieting, schedule, and lack of energy; but most importantly, special thanks to Meriza, my life partner - my cook, my strength, my inspiration, the real voice of reason, honesty, and integrity...She's the foundation of my home, without whose faith and confidence I would definitely not have had the successful outcome of this 2010 journey. With all of these forces of energy and support around me for the year to come, I have no choice but to grow, to improve, and hopefully, to overcome that single point, leaving no questions next year in the collective mind of the judges. My goal is to make their job easy. And I've got less than 49 more weeks to do it.

It was another hot, sunny San Diego day - and we had a tremendous turn out for our 4th Annual Parking Lot Bash and Supplement Expo!

NPC USA's 2010 - 619 ROCKED in Vegas!

It was a helluva fun weekend for our 619 Muscle extended family. As in past years, the short drive to Sin City from the 619 proved an easy commute for the members of our family to gather together to celebrate another unbelievable spectacle of fitness, strength and accomplishment. Our own hard-working superhero athletes who took their bodies through pain and fatigue, into new levels of development and conditioning included Malachi Walker, Molly Goodwin, Pete Ciccone, Michelle Smith, Michelle Bates, Deena Walsh, PD Devers, and extended family members and friends, including Kelly Bautista, Jesse Sabateer and Alan Watari and other dear friends! Congratulations to all of the athletes who worked so hard, living like superheroes on the never-ending quest toward self-improvement. Discipline, dedication, hard, honest work (honest because you can't hide anything when you're on stage, under the lights, wearing next-to-nothing...) - It's the bodybuilding way of life! And we love it.
