Fall, 2008 - it's been a crazy few months!
I have to apologize for not blogging more. 619 Muscle has been going banshee crazy with all kinds of good stuff! We must welcome to our retail Team in the store, first and foremost, SuperMan Mike - formerly known as the World's Strongest Teen (he recently turned 20!) Mike is now a part of the Team, available to share his knowledge and experience!
Since the August parking lot bash, there have been major happenings for Team 619 Muscle here in SoCal. In October, our own resident Pro, Meriza DeGuzman, stole the show at the Tournament of Champions, rocked the house with the most applause of any of the Pro Figure girls in what was called "the most competitive Pro show of the season." When the smoke cleared, Meriza took 5th, standing on stage toe-to-toe w/ the best in the game. Congratulations to Meriza - we love her!
619 Muscle's rising star, Molly Goodwin entered the TOC on a last minute decision - her prep for the Border States was coming along more quickly than we originally anticipated - she stole 2nd place and narrowly missed getting her "# 1 lady" at this show...But there will be more in store for this little dynamo. She is trained exclusively by Meriza, who has crafted her physique into an up-and-coming rising star!
Our home town veteran Eric Raposa entered the open lightweight and won it - unopposed! Eric's old school hardcore training methods have built him the physique of a warrior - with dense, hard and grainy muscle, he's got details from every angle. 619 Muscle girl, Dena Gunnoe, worked her polished physique into a 2nd place in the masters Figure, and 4rth place in the Open C class. Dena was the leanest Figure athlete on the stage - and was penalized for it - even though her balanced physique was otherwise nearly flawless. Wait til the Borders - she and Molly are working hard and are going to do some real damage! Eric will be there, leaner, meaner than ever! See you all there!
